Design + Culture is a short video platform focusing on the intersection and synthesis of the principles and how the many facets of our lives are defined by these themes. The series engages with creative practitioners including designers, architects, and artists to uncover the impact and importance that design and culture has on their respective disciplines.
The pilot episode features Jess Myers, a trained architect and brand strategist who also produces the podcast, ”Here There Be Dragons“. She shares her insights into the synergy between architecture and urban space planning and how they can empower communities and their constitutents.
In partnership with Alex Rearick, the concept for the platform was conceived and developed. Once that was solidified, a range of storyboards and supporting narratives were created in order to set up filming and production.
In addition, designing a brand identity for the series was essential to communicate the core idea of the platform to its audience. Two identical geometric elements colide along the axis while anchoring the words, “Design” and “Culture” which are set in the typeface, Pitch Sans.
