The Isabella Stewart Gardner Museum is an art museum in Boston, which houses a significant collection of art, specializing in Renaissance through 19th century painting and decorative arts. Known for its magical setting where the building was originally built as Isabella’s residence, art and community come together to inspire new ways of envisioning the museum. Embodying the fearless legacy of the founder, the museum offers a singular invitation to explore the past through a contemporary lens, creating meaningful encounters and joyful connections for all.

The Five-Year Strategic Plan was developed to propel Isabella’s vision into the 21st century. It is fueled by the organization’s ambition to make the Museum not only more welcoming to diverse audiences, but more reflective of the many voices and perspectives that comprise the vibrant communities it serves.

Campaign creative, such as advertising, posters, and videos along with key messages, were developed to convey the spirit of the Strategic Plan in a way that is emotionally compelling. Photo and video shoots for the key visuals took place at the incomparable rooms throughout the museum, capturing moments that diverse audiences were awestruck in extraordinary settings. ”Unbound by convention“, the ethos of Isabella inspired the creative direction that communicates new stories of the museum through the diverse voices of artists and the community.

Ryo art directed the on-site photo shoot and developed the campaign visual identity and storyboards for the video.
